A tragic incident unfolded on the N1 at Leeu Gamka, where a truck driver lost his life after being run over by another truck he had parked next to.
The devastating event occurred when the driver of the other truck allegedly forgot to engage the handbrake, causing the vehicle to roll towards the unsuspecting driver.
According to a witness who spoke with SA Trucker, the victim had exited his truck, unaware that the other truck, which was parked nearby, was slowly moving toward him.
The rolling truck’s back trailer knocked the driver down, crushing him underneath before coming to a halt after colliding with the victim’s truck.

The trucker initially survived the horrific accident and was rushed to the hospital. However, despite efforts to save him, he tragically succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
