Truck Driver Missing for Over 6 Months – Family Desperate for Answers

The family and friends of 64-year-old Gabriel Nkabinde are still searching for answers more than six months after he mysteriously disappeared.

Gabriel, a seasoned truck driver employed by Multiloads at the time of his disappearance, was off-duty when he vanished on Friday, 13 December 2024.

He was last seen leaving his home in Garankuwa, Pretoria, reportedly en route to nearby Rosslyn. He was driving a white, older-model Toyota Hilux bakkie, registration FP 24 BX GP, which has also not been located.

Despite multiple efforts by police and the community to track him down, there has been no trace of Gabriel or his vehicle since that day. His case is being investigated by the Garankuwa Police Station under Case No. 2/12/2024.

Sgt Mohlala, who is handling the case, urged the public to come forward with any leads: 0127978800 (Garankuwa Police)

The family has also provided an additional contact number for those who may have seen or heard anything: Mlungisi – 073 811 9200.

“He’s a father, a husband, and a hardworking man. He didn’t just vanish. Someone out there knows something,” said a heartbroken family member.

Truckers across the country are being asked to check dashcam footage from that week and keep an eye out at truck stops and rural roads where the Hilux might’ve ended up.

If you know anything – no matter how small – please make the call. Let’s help bring Gabriel home.
