A 42-year-old truck driver has been arrested after he was caught with drugs worth R3.54 million in Laingsburg, Western Cape.
The driver was arrested during a patrol by the Rural Flying Squad on the N1 on Thursday.

According to police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Malcolm Pojie, upon searching the truck, officers found 10 packets of mandrax concealed in a box and eight boxes of dagga.
“The value of the drugs is estimated at about R3.54 million,” said Pojie.
The suspect is due to appear in the Laingsburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
