Truck Driver Robbed and Grossly Violated in Bayhead Robbery

A Zambian truck driver endured a horrifying ordeal when he was attacked and robbed while sleeping in his truck in the early hours of Friday morning in Bayhead, Durban.

The incident occurred around 03h00 on Bremen Road.

The victim, whose identity is known to SA Trucker but will not be disclosed to protect his privacy, was asleep in his truck when four armed criminals approached.

They threatened to break his window, forcing him to open the door at gunpoint.

Once inside, the suspects stole his money, cellphone, and other valuables.

The situation took an even more traumatic turn when the attackers subjected the driver to severe physical and psychological abuse before fleeing the scene.

Video footage of the victim, seen by SA Trucker, shows his bloodied pant- a heartbreaking testimony of the horror he endured.

However, out of respect for his dignity and privacy, we will not be sharing the footage.

This incident highlights the dangers that truck drivers face, especially when parked in high-risk areas.

Many drivers have voiced concerns over security in Bayhead, where incidents of hijacking and armed robbery are frequent.

Authorities have been informed, and investigations are ongoing. Truckers are urged to remain vigilant, avoid unsafe parking areas, and report suspicious activity to law enforcement.
