A truck has overturned at the dreaded traffic light in Du Plessis Avenue in Langenhovenpark, Bloemfontein, and caused a diesel spill.
It is alleged that the driver of the truck with a GP registration number was speeding and lost control of the vehicle, hitting a lamp pole.
There were two people in the truck and one was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Authorities are on the scene. The Mangaung Fire and Rescue Services covered the diesel spill with sand and clean-up operations will follow.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
