On Saturday morning Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a truck that overturned on the M13, Fields Hill on the Durban bound lane.
Exact detail to the cause of the crash is still speculative and will form part of the police investigations.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found a truck lying on its side obstructing the roadway. The driver had climbed from the vehicle and miraculously escaped with relatively minor injuries.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was transported to hospital for the care that he required. The roadway remained obstructed while they recovered the overturned truck.
