Plans are at an advanced stage for the Truckerz CANSA Run 2021 which will be on Sunday the 24th of October.
The aim of the annual truck run is to collect soft toys, educational toys, and canned food, all for CANSA TLC.
The collected toys and food will be donated to children suffering from cancer.
CANSA relies on income generated from fundraising events and projects, such as these, in order to sustain the Care and Support it provides to those affected by cancer.
Truckers will gather at Engen Winelands on the N1 outbound. At 10h00 the convoy will depart for Killarney International Raceway.
There will be bikers to escort the trucks to Killarney International Raceway.
Organiser Ruan Smith said the event is going to be bigger and better this year as many truckers have expressed their willingness to support the cause.

“There will be lead bikes followed by breakdowns, then the truck convoy,” said Smith.
“At around 11h00 the convoy will be arriving at Killarney International Raceway where the convoy will park in a three-column format for Covid 19 screening,”
“We are targeting an attendance of about 100 trucks this year, 50 will park on the tracks while the other 50 will park on the oval,
“According to the Covid-19 protocols in alert level 1, we will only be able to accommodate 2,000 people,” he added.
There will be two bars, a tuckshop, a food truck, and 2 jumping castles for the kids, he added.
