Two people have sustained critical injuries after a fuel tanker crashed from a bridge on Es’kia Mphahlele drive and landed onto Van Der Hoff Road below in Pretoria.
According to Best Care Emergency Medical Service the accident happened in the early hours of Saturday morning.
“Our teams together with Tshwane EMS Services treated two critically injured patients, whereby Best Care transported the patients to private hospitals,” wrote Best Care.
Upon crashing the International truck dismantled into pieces while the interlink tanker trailers piled on the other side.
No other vehicle was involved in the accident and the injured were both occupants from the truck.
The exact cause of the accident remains subjected to police investigation.
