Zimbabwe – Two haulage truck drivers are feared dead after their chrome-loaded rigs plunged off the Ngezi Bridge in Zvishavane, Zimbabwe early Tuesday morning.

According to initial reports, the two trucks were travelling from Mberengwa towards Zvishavane when tragedy struck. It’s understood that both drivers, from the same company, attempted to avoid a stationary vehicle on the bridge when they lost control, sending the heavy rigs over the edge.

Witnesses at the scene say one of the trucks landed roof-first on the ground below the bridge, while the other dropped straight into the river. The impact left mangled wrecks scattered around the area.
