UD Trucks Launches New Dealerships on the West Coast and in Swellendam

UD Trucks Southern Africa, in partnership with Fuzion Motor Group, has announced the opening of two new fully equipped dealerships in the Western Cape – one in Vredenburg on the West Coast and another in Swellendam.

The new facilities mark a significant step in expanding UD’s national footprint, improving accessibility, and strengthening customer support across both urban and rural areas.

Strategic locations for better service

The Vredenburg dealership, situated at 93 Main Road, officially opens its doors on 1 October 2025. Positioned in the heart of the West Coast, the site offers easy access for customers from Vredenburg, Saldanha, Langebaan, Velddrif, and surrounding towns. With the region’s rapid residential, commercial, and industrial growth, the demand for reliable transport solutions and servicing continues to rise.

In Swellendam, the new branch at 10 Nelson Street sits just 1.5 km from the N2 offramp between Cape Town and George. The location creates a convenient hub for regional transporters, local farmers, and fleet operators who now have expert support closer to home.

Local leadership speaks

“Opening this branch is more than just a business milestone – it’s about serving the West Coast community right where they live and work,” said Jason De Swardt, Branch Manager for Vredenburg.

For Swellendam, Branch Manager Morné Trollip said: “We can now offer both existing and new clients the convenience and peace of mind that comes with having expert service, genuine parts, and trusted support right on their doorstep.”

Strengthening the UD–Fuzion partnership

For Fuzion Motor Group, the expansion strengthens their presence in the province while deepening ties with UD Trucks.

“The expansion of our UD branches enables us to better serve our clients while making the Fuzion name synonymous with the UD brand. For customers, this means trust – knowing they are supported by a partnership built on reliability and excellence,” said John Trollip, Managing Director of Fuzion Motor Group.

UD Trucks Southern Africa echoed this, with Managing Director Filip Van den Heede highlighting that the move is about bringing the brand closer to customers and keeping trucks on the road.

“Our aftermarket support is built on speed, reliability, quality, and uptime. These new dealerships will reduce travel time for customers, improve turnaround, and keep vehicles where they deliver the most value – on the road, earning for their owners,” added Aftermarket Director Sanjay Naipal.

Going the Extra Mile

With the launch of the Vredenburg and Swellendam dealerships, UD Trucks reinforces its brand promise of “Going the Extra Mile” – delivering reliable transport solutions while investing in local economies and creating new opportunities.
