According to updated information, the initial crash involved two light motor vehicles. Fortunately, occupants from both vehicles had already exited before the situation escalated. Moments later, a secondary collision occurred involving two heavy motor vehicles, turning the scene into a nightmare for emergency crews.
The impact led to both trucks catching fire, with flames rapidly engulfing the wreckage.
Authorities have now confirmed two fatalities. One of the deceased has been identified as Henno Stokes, a driver from Jonckies Vervoer, a loss that is already being felt across the trucking community.

One of the truck drivers survived but sustained severe burn injuries and was treated at the scene before being transported for urgent medical care.
