eThekwini Municipality says a pilot project that will see smaller groups of people coming into Verulam Test Centre to apply for licence renewals has been introduced.
It’s a central booking system being spearheaded by Metro Police Management.
The Municipality says this is due to the large number of applicants queuing at the centre. But, officials want things to change – to limit and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
eThekwini says you’ll still need to take all the necessary documentation with you – including your original identity document, a copy of that ID, proof of residence, and preferably an eye test certificate from an optician.
You can contact Verulam’s booking office and make an appointment to renew your driver’s.
“The public is required to contact the booking office and make an appointment to renew their driver’s licences. The number to call is (031) 322 1771 and (031) 322 1853,” the municipality said.
