Vicinage transport Complete company closure Auction | 7 June 10:00 -9 June 12:00
Vicinage Transport has been in business for the past 21 years and are well known in the trucking industry.
Company spokesperson, Minette Visser, confirmed the company was closing down in a Facebook post.
She asked other transporters to provide jobs for the drivers who would become jobless as the company closes.
“Yes we are closing down our company and we would greatly appreciate your help in posting a post on your page for us for our drivers. They are all currently seeking driving jobs. They all have years of experience and would be an asset to any company that takes them. We are a hazchem transport so they all have valid DGP licenses and Hazchem Training. Anyone who is interested can email me for their details. Minette@vicinage.co.za”

Minette did not respond to SA Trucker’s emails requesting comment.
Libra brokers, who have been working with the Visser family expressed sadness to see the business close down.
“It has been a very sad month indeed to see Vicinage Transport in Vereeniging closing their operations, whom have been in operation for the past 21 years and serving our economy with their predominantly tautliner fleet. Vicinage Transport was also the first fleet to display our Company logo and details on their very first two tautliners so many years ago, and liked it so much that they voluntarily changed their entire fleet to proudly show of our brand, which we will always appreciate and be extremely proud of!”
“We wish Willie, Jandaan, Minette and the whole team of Vicinage Transport all the best with their future planning and life journey ahead. Thank you for always entrusting in our Company and for all the years of your much valued and loyal support.”
