A shocking attempt on the life of a senior manager at a well-known trucking company in Johannesburg has been caught on CCTV, leaving the local trucking industry shaken.
In a chilling video, dated 13 May 2025, that surfaced online, two men can be seen walking casually on a street near the company’s gate. As the unsuspecting manager drives up to the entrance in a white Mercedes-Benz, one of the men suddenly steps forward and opens fire at close range.
Bullets rip through the vehicle as the gunman fires several rounds, forcing the manager to reverse in a desperate attempt to escape. Despite being wounded, the driver manages to flee from the fire.
The shooter flees the scene joined by the second suspect. Moments later, a security guard from the premises emerges and returns fire at the fleeing suspects, resulting in a brief but intense exchange of gunfire.
The visibly injured manager is then seen stumbling out of the car and walking into the yard. His current condition remains unknown.

Police have not released any official statement regarding the incident and it’s unclear at this stage whether any suspects have been arrested. The motive behind the attack is still being investigated.
Efforts by SA Trucker to get a comment from the company were unsuccessful at the time of publishing.
