Some crashes are very strange, only video proof would make one believe they happened the way they did.
Like this crash between a giraffe and two bakkies. How? You should be asking yourself, can two vehicles collide with one wild animal.
Yes, it actually happened in the animal’s hood. According to the coordinates on the video, the strange crash occurred in the vicinity of Leshiba Mountain Retreats at the top of Soutpansberg Mountains about 36km west of Louis Trichardt in Limpopo. The date on the film also shows that it happened on 10/09/2020.
Amongst a bunch of other animals, giraffes roam the lively private game reserve.
In the 30 seconds long video, shot from a bakkie parked behind another bakkie. It’s night time and darkness is filling the skies and the lenses cannot see far from the bakkies.
A speeding giraffe emerges from the dark and crashes into the bakkie parked in front before coming trembling down to the ground.
After struggling for a few seconds to rise up again, the giraffe runs towards the bakkie from where the dash camera is filming and again, crashes into it.
The two bakkies suffer extensive damage on the screen and side.
Pictures of the aftermath show that when the giraffe collided with the second bakkie the damage it caused was so extensive that even the steering wheel came off.
It was not immediately clear if there were any injuries to the tourists and the animal.
