Durban – A video of a white VW Polo crashing into a Freshstop at Caltex at Southgate Mall in Amanzimtoti, south of Durban has gone viral on social media.
The video surfaced on social media on Friday, 3 April, where it is alleged that a drunk driver lost control of the Polo and crashed into the shop.
Manager of the store, Mark Hardman confirmed that the incident occurred at the Umbogintwini shop. “The incident happened at about 11h00. There were no major injuries sustained. Our store is now open for business again,” he said.
The matter is being investigated by Amanzimtoti SAPS.
