Watch: Fatal Ormonde Shooting Footage Shows Businessman’s Final Act of Bravery

Fresh video footage has surfaced online showing the intensity of last week’s deadly shootout in Ormonde, where a cash convoy came under attack in what looks like a well-planned armed robbery.

According to information available, two businessmen lost their lives during the incident while transporting cash. The convoy was ambushed by heavily armed suspects, triggering a high-speed chase and a chaotic exchange of gunfire on public roads.

The footage now doing the rounds on social media gives a clearer picture of just how fast things escalated. You can see vehicles scattering, shots being fired, and the convoy trying to break away under serious pressure.

One of the victims, Yusuf Modan, is being remembered for his bravery. It is reported that he turned back during the attack to assist colleagues who were already under fire. By that point, Abdul Hamid Moosa had been fatally wounded. Modan was later shot and killed while confronting the attackers.

A security guard who was part of the convoy sustained serious injuries and was rushed for medical treatment.

During the shootout, one of the suspects was killed and another injured. The remaining attackers managed to flee the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, and police investigations are ongoing.

This incident once again highlights the risks involved in cash transportation in South Africa, especially with organised gangs targeting high-value loads. For many in the transport and security space, it is another reminder that these criminals are not just opportunistic, they are coordinated and heavily armed.

Authorities are expected to release further updates as the investigation continues.
