Gauteng police have arrested ten men after finding them offloading cargo from a hijacked trailer in Selby, Johannesburg on Tuesday afternoon.
The suspects allegedly hijacked the truck driver at gunpoint in Bapsfontein. It’s further alleged that they swapped trucks and abandoned the stolen truck then hooked the trailer onto another truck.
Gauteng police recovered the abandoned truck and started searching the trailer which was loaded with cooking oil.
The police successfully traced the trailer to Selby in Johannesburg. There they arrested ten men who were already busy shifting the cooking oil boxes onto the another truck.
The suspects are expected to appear in court soon.
