Two police vehicles and an ambulance have been burnt in Boikhutso, Lichtenburg in North West province after a police van allegedly knocked down a child.
Reports from the scene suggest that the police van was chasing vendors who were selling cooked mealies when the accident happened.
The ambulance which came to attend to the injured child was attacked together with the police vans.
