A truck transporting planks overturned on the M19 westbound between Reservoir Hills and Dunkeld, causing a complete road closure towards Pinetown.
The incident, which occurred earlier today, resulted in the truck spilling its entire load of planks across the roadway, making it impassable.
Emergency services are currently on the scene, working to clear the debris and remove the truck.
There are no reports of injuries.
Motorists are urged to use alternative routes as traffic has come to a standstill on the M19 westbound. Authorities have advised drivers to consider using the N3 or other local roads to avoid delays.

It remains unclear what caused the truck to overturn, however the road was wet due to heavy rains currently being experienced in Durban. Road users are urged to exercise caution and be patient as cleanup operations continue.
