The main entrance of Access Park in Kenilworth has been shut down following the collapse of a structure, according to reports.
Several videos circulating on social media show the incident as it happened.
The incident comes after an Orange Level 6 warning issued for the Western Cape on Tuesday, which predicted strong and gusty north-westerly to westerly winds across the province.
From late morning until the evening, the Garden Route, eastern Overberg, eastern Cape Winelands, and southern Central Karoo are expected to experience strong to gale-force winds ranging from 40 to 80 kph, with gusts reaching between 90 and 120 kph.
