The N10 is currently closed just outside Cradock, heading towards Middelburg, after a serious crash involving two side tipper trucks.
Reports from truckers at the scene indicate that the collision has completely blocked the road, with traffic already backing up in both directions.
At the time of writing, authorities have not yet released the number of casualties, but unconfirmed reports suggest the crash was fatal.
The exact cause of the crash is unclear at this stage.
