The N3 northbound near Cliffdale has been brought to a standstill this Saturday morning after an articulated truck collided with emergency vehicles attending an earlier accident.
The dramatic crash happened when the truck reportedly failed to stop in time, slamming directly into a fire truck and other vehicles on-site.
Emergency teams were already managing the initial accident when the truck barreled into the scene.
Several people have sustained injuries, though the full extent is yet to be confirmed as emergency personnel work on stabilizing those affected.
Traffic authorities have now closed off the N3 northbound lanes, warning motorists to expect delays throughout the morning.
