Watch: N3 north closed between Jacobs road and R23 following fatal crash

The N3 Johannesburg bound carriageway is completely closed to traffic just after Jacobs road before the R23 offramp following a serious accident involving two trucks and two light motor vehicles.

The four vehicles were involved in a fatal collision at around 05:00 this morning (April 12) on the N3 between the Jacobs Street and R23 (Benoni) offramps.

Two fatalities have been reported.

The N3 North is currently closed and traffic is heavily backed up. The N3 South currently has one lane open.

Motorists are advised to make use of alternative routes when traveling in the area.
