Durban – One suspected robber has been shot dead outside a mall in Westville, in Durban, after a shoot-out with police.
South African Police Service members exchanged gunfire with the alleged robbers leading to the death of one suspect.

The vehicle the suspects fled in was found burnt out not far from the scene of the shooting.
Rescue Care paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said paramedics were en route to the scene of the shooting on Jan Hofmeyer Road. He said two more people were being treated at the scene.
It is understood that the shoot-out took place after an attempted robbery.
