Watch: One Killed as Truck Hits Bridge, Collides with Two Cars on N2 Outbound, Cape Town

A serious accident involving three vehicles, including a container truck, occurred early Monday morning, 15 January, on the N2 outbound at Kramat Road in Macassar, Cape Town.

Initial reports indicate that a truck carrying an overheight load struck the Kramat Road overhead bridge, causing its cargo to fall off the trailer and collide with a light delivery van and a car.

Tragically, one person was killed in the accident, others have sustained serious injuries.

Emergency services are currently at the scene, attending to the injured and working to clear the wreckage.

While the exact cause of the crash remains under investigation, the N2 outbound has been closed at Baden Powell Drive.
