Motorists travelling along the N1 South near Mookgophong in Limpopo are being warned of a serious crash that has left traffic disrupted in the area.
According to early information from the scene at Boekenhout, two bakkies collided head-on. The impact was severe, with both vehicles sustaining heavy damage.
Initial reports indicate that one of the bakkies is blocking a lane, while the other has come to a stop off the roadway. This has resulted in traffic flow being affected, with delays expected as emergency services attend to the situation.
Videos circulating from the scene show the extent of the damage, with both vehicles badly smashed, a clear sign of the force involved in the collision. It’s still unclear at this stage if there are any serious injuries or fatalities.
Emergency personnel are currently on site managing the situation and working to clear the roadway.
