A serious road accident occurred on the N1 near Tom’s Place, between Bloemfontein and Colesburg, on Saturday morning.
Two articulated trucks collided head-on. The impact was so severe that one truck’s cab was torn from its chassis, while the other was completely crushed.
Emergency services are on the scene attending to the injured and working to clear the wreckage. The road remains partially obstructed, and motorists travelling in both directions should expect significant delays. Authorities have urged drivers to be patient, slow down, and follow instructions from traffic officials.

The condition of those injured has not yet been confirmed. The cause of the crash is unknown at this stage.
