Two trucks collided at the intersection of South Coast Road and Service Road at the entrance of Grindrod Logistics in Umlazi on Thursday afternoon.
Dashcam footage of the accident has emerged online, showing how the crash occurred.
According to the footage, the crash happened at 16:50.
In the footage, a white Actros can be seen stopped in the middle of the intersection, yielding to oncoming traffic with its indicator on, signaling a right turn.
One oncoming truck turns left into Service Road towards the Old Airport, and the Actros quickly follows.
However, as the Actros attempts to turn right onto Service Road, a white Hino truck approaches the intersection at high speed, leaving neither driver a chance to avoid the collision.
The two vehicles violently collide in the middle of the intersection.
One person can be seen being ejected from the Hino truck through the left side of the windscreen.
Both vehicles overturn, one landing on the side of the other.
It is not yet known if the drivers survived.
