MBOMBELA – A hijacker was forced to employ his spiderman skills to hang onto a moving truck following a failed hijacking earlier this week in Mpumalanga.

According to Divergent Ops’s Jacques Meiring, the suspect got onto the truck and attempted to hold up the driver with a knife.

“Instead, the driver took him for a ride on the R40. The man could be seen holding onto the front of the truck as it drove through the city. He jumped off in the vicinity of the Riverside Industrial Park and ran away.”

Police spokesman Capt Zandile Gqawa said police were investigating the matter.
