Durban – Several people have been injured following a multi-vehicle crash on the M7 east bound just before the Bellville off-ramp.
At 08H22 Wednesday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a serious collision on the M7 Eastbound near the Bellville offramp, Durban.
Reports from the scene indicate that multiple vehicles including a tanker and logistics truck were involved in a collision resulting in the vehicles bursting into flames.
Fire and Rescue Services, South African Police Services, Rescue Technicians and Paramedics all rushed to the scene to assist.
At this stage, multiple people have sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious and are being treated on the scene.
The Netcare 5 helicopter has been activated to airlift a seriously injured patient from the scene.
The road has been closed off by authorities.
