The N1 near Huguenot Tunnel from Worcester side was closed due to a serious crash involving a tanker truck and a bakkie on Tuesday morning.
Traffic was seriously backed up on both directions as the vehicles are blocking the entire roadway.
Truckers at the scene told SA Trucker that the tanker truck was attempting a U-turn when the bakkie crashed into it.
The bakkie driver sustained injuries while the truck driver was not injured.
