Protesters in Khayelitsha, Cape Town have forced the closure of Baden Powell drive between the N2 and Jaftha K Masemole after burning a Shoprite Checkers truck in the middle of the road.
Not far from where the truck was burnt two busses were also set alight.

R300 was also closed between Hindle road and the N2 from early morning.
N2 towards Cape Town was closed at Macassar road while N2 outbound was closed at Borcheds Quarry. The R300 link to N2 Somerset West is closed at both directions.
