A truck driver was seriously injured in a crash on the N3 near the Dasville interchange in Grootvlei early on Tuesday morning.
According to sources at the scene, two trucks were travelling Durban-bound when one reportedly rear-ended the other, causing it to veer off the road.
The impact was so severe that the rear-ending truck lost control and landed off the roadway.
The second truck remains on the N3, blocking lanes and causing significant delays for Durban-bound traffic.
Emergency services responded swiftly, and the injured driver was stabilised on scene before being rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities have since taken over the scene, working to clear the wreckage and clean the road surface to restore traffic flow.

Motorists are advised to approach the area with caution or consider alternative routes while clean-up operations continue.
The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
