One person has been killed in a multiple vehicle accident on M7 east at N2 interchange in Durban just after 13h00 on Wednesday afternoon.
ALS Paramedics Medical Services said they arrived on the scene to find total carnage.
Paramedic Garrith Jamieson said it is believed that a truck had somehow lost control before colliding with another truck and three motor vehicles before coming to rest a few meters down the road.
One person a lady in her forties sustained critical injuries and Paramedics attempted to resuscitate the lady however her injuries were to osevere and she passed away on the scene.
“One other person sustained minor injuries and was stabilized on the scene before being transported to a nearby Durban hospital for the further treatment that she required,” Jamieson said.
At this stage the events leading up to the accident are unknown however SAPS and Metro Police were on scene to investigate.
