Two truck drivers sustained serious injuries after their vehicles collided head-on along the R33 between the N4 and Carolina in Mpumalanga on Monday afternoon.
SA Truckers who arrived shortly after the crash, reported that one of the trucks veered out of its lane and collided with an oncoming truck travelling from the Carolina direction.
Emergency personnel were still at the scene at the time of publishing, working to free one of the drivers trapped in the wreckage.
The cause of the crash remains unclear, and authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation.

The accident left the road partially obstructed, with traffic moving slowly in the area. Motorists are urged to exercise caution while travelling on the R33.
