Tragedy struck on the M4 Southern Freeway this morning when a collision involving a truck, a bike, and a car resulted in the death of one person before the Victoria Embankment offramp.
The incident occurred shortly after 7 a.m., creating chaos during peak traffic hours.

Upon arrival, paramedics were met with a devastating scene.
The collision, which blocked three lanes of the freeway, involved a truck, a car, and a motorbike.
The biker, identified as a male in his thirties, lay fatally injured on the fast lane.
Paramedics tragically declared him deceased on the scene.
No other injuries were reported among the occupants of the other vehicles involved.
The collision severely disrupted traffic flow, with three out of four lanes rendered impassable, causing extensive delays and congestion in the area.
Authorities, including the South African Police Service (SAPS), were on-site to manage the aftermath and initiate an investigation into the circumstances leading up to the collision.
