A truck driver and a female passenger have been killed in an accident on the N3 southbound at Lions River this Sunday morning June 30, 2024.
The crash, which took place in the early hours of the morning, left the truck with extensive damage.
It’s reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed down an embankment.
Emergency services, including Midlands EMS crews, were swiftly dispatched to the scene.
Upon their arrival, they discovered the truck in a severely wrecked state.
Despite their efforts, both the driver and the passenger had sustained fatal injuries and were declared deceased at the scene.

The exact cause of the crash remains unknown at this stage.
