Job Purpose: To make company deliveries and collections with company vehicle.

Job Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Driving Licence (code 14/EC) with PDE.
• 5 years driving experience.
• Safe working and driving practice knowledge.
• Time-management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
• Strong ethics and reliability.
• Tolerance to work in rain, dust, and muddy conditions.
• Ability to work shift/weekends/public holidays & overtime.
• Have a good attitude towards the daily task.

Key Responsibilities Will Be But Not Limited To:

• Plan shortest route.
• Drives company truck to instructed destinations.
• Load and unload goods.
• Applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations.
• Maintain a positive attitude with customers.
• Obtain correct documentation and proof of delivery.
• Follow accident procedures and report immediately to the Supervisor.
• Ensure vehicle is parked in a safe place when not at a company warehouse/premises.

• Ensure control over and use company fuel card as per procedure (where applicable).
• Timeously submit all relevant documentation to the Supervisor.
• Report and submit all fines timeously to the Supervisor.
• Ensure vehicle is in good working order.
• Fulfill the tasks usually assigned to a Truck Assistant when required.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards and adhere to safety Rules and Regulations according to OHS Act and any other relevant act.
