Passengers travelling in an APM bus were lucky to escape unharmed after the luxury long-distance coach caught fire on Women’s Day, 9 August.

The Eastern Cape Department of Transport reported this Women’s Day miracle near Komani.

The department reported that the incident happened in the early hours of the morning on the R61 between Tarkastad and Komani.

Fortunately, all the passengers that were travelling in the burnt-out bus escaped unscathed when it caught fire.

“The bus had a mechanical breakdown, passengers got off, and offloaded their luggage as if they knew what was about to happen.

Moments later, the bus caught fire and quickly engulfed the bus burning it out completely”.
