Three people have been killed after the side tipper truck they were travelling in was involved in an accident on the R34 near Utrecht on Friday afternoon.
KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the truck crash scene on R34 outside Utrecht to find that all the occupants of the truck had died.
“When emergency services arrived they found that a truck had lost control and crashed off the road,” said KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service.
Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that three occupants of the truck had sustained fatal injuries and succumbed to their injuries before emergency services arrived.
The cause of the collision is not known but authorities are investigating.

Meanwhile, a truck driver was killed when he lost control of his South African registered truck at Marabeng in Lesotho.
