The N1 is closed to traffic about 5km before Shell Ultra City due to a fatal crash involving an articulated truck and a sedan this Tuesday morning.
The two vehicles collided head-on and are currently blocking the road. There is also diesel spillage all over the roadway.
Sadly, one person from the sedan lost their life.
The number of people injured is not known at this stage as this is a developing story.

Motorists are urged to use alternative routes as forensic investigation, clean up and recovery will take a while.
