Truck Owner Watches His Vehicle Being Stolen In Morningside

Private security personnel recovered a Fuso truck that was stolen in Morningside in Durban on Tuesday.

At approximately 06h30 the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre was alerted to a incident where a vehicle had been stolen on Tenth Avenue in the Morningside area, the victim was washing his hands inside the property and when he returned and saw a suspect drive off with the truck.

Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched to the scene and the details of the stolen vehicle was circulated to all our Armed Response Officers and Special Operations Team members to be on the lookout.

It was later established that the truck was fitted with a tracking device and at approximately 08h00 it was found abandoned and recovered in the Inanda area by the Bidvest ground team and members of our Special Ops Team.

The scene was secured and handed over to the SAPS for further investigation and processing. – Marshall Security
