Lion Park Truck Stop in Lynnfield Park, Msunduzi will become the new truck staging area for Bulk Connections come January 2, 2023.
Bulk Connections Operations Director Unathi Mapoma announced in a statement to customers and all stakeholders on Tuesday.
The bulk minerals handling company is moving away from Keystone Industrial Park in Hammarsdale where the processing area was based this year, 2022.
“The last day of operations in Hammarsdale will be 31 December 2022 at 10h00,” said Mapoma.
“Bulk Connections has since acquired a new staging area in Lion Park, Ashburton which has better facilities and has closer access to the highway. The staging will open on the 2nd of January 2023 at 6:00AM,” Mapoma added.
The booking process remains the same, trucks will be booked with both the terminal ([email protected]) and new staging email address ([email protected]).
He urged trucking companies to ensure that both emails were used when doing bookings.
Cutler permits are to be obtained before arriving at the new staging area.
As usual, all trucks to first check-in at Lion Park Truck Stop for clearance before coming to Bulk Connections.
Any truck that has not been processed by the new staging area will not be attended to at Bulk Connections.
The new staging area is 71km away from Bulk Connections.
