Two suspects caught red-handed stripping stolen truck in Glen Austin IMG 20220321 WA0011

Police in Gauteng have arrested two suspects and recovered a stolen truck in Glen Austin on Sunday afternoon.

Police spokesperson Constable Mabulane said SAPS Midrand in collaboration with Tracker SA followed up on the tracker signal of a stolen truck and managed to recover it and arrested two suspects.

The truck was reportedly stolen in Randfontein where after a Tracker signal was activated.

“Members of SAPS Midrand responded and proceeded to an address in Glen Austin as identified by Tracker,” said Mabulane.

The suspects were in the process of “stripping” the truck upon arrival of the police and fled in different directions.

The SAPS members managed to apprehend two suspects.

Further investigation revealed that the truck found in Glen Austin is positively linked to the truck reported stolen in Randfontein.

The suspects are expected to appear before court soon.
