Update: No fatalities in R66 fiery truck crash

Two people have been injured in yet another horrific crash involving side tipper trucks on the R66/R34 between Ulundi and Vryheid in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday morning.

Circumstances are that a truck overturned and partially blocked the road. As traffic police directed traffic around the scene, another truck came and crashed into two other trucks and a bakkie before bursting into flames.

Dashcam from a truck approaching the scene, captured the fiery secondary crash.

Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported and two people have been injured.

Four vehicles caught alight after the second crash.

All the involved trucks are side tippers.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.

This follows Friday’s deadly truck crash in Pongola, also in KwaZulu-Natal that claimed 21 lives.
