The N1 is closed at Gariepdam between Springfontein and Colesburg after a side tipper truck collided with a flat deck superlink truck this Thursday morning.
On impact, the side tipper truck caught fire while the flat deck superlink left the road and rested in the bush.
According to the recovery team on the scene, occupants of the side tipper are feared to have not made it out.
