Protesting community members have hijacked trucks and used them to block the N2 between Idutywa and Butterworth in the Eastern Cape on Thursday morning.
Mbhashe Local Municipality reported that the N2 blockade was at Ngxakaxha. Traffic from both directions is not able to pass the blockade as there are tyres burning on the roadway.

The National Road-N2 between Dutywa and Butterworth at Ngxakaxha, taffic flow is currently disturbed due community unrest. Traffic may delay, you are advised to use other alternative routes. The Traffic police,Law Enforcement and SAPS are at the scene to provide safety and security services.
