Persistent illegal overtaking remains the primary factor behind head-on collisions in South Africa.
It’s disheartening to witness a proficient driver, affiliated with a company renowned for its continuous driver training, exhibit such reckless behavior.
The dashcam footage, which has been circulated on the SA Trucker App, captures the driver calmly maintaining a speed of approximately 71km/h on a dual-carriageway.

Unexpectedly, a Spar truck emerges in the driver’s lane, in the midst of illegally overtaking another truck, all of this happening within the confines of double barrier lines.
In order to prevent a direct collision with the Spar truck, the trucker is compelled to significantly reduce their speed.
