Hijacked Truck Transporting Coal Recovered In Inanda

Private security, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) has recovered a side tipper interlink combination in Inanda after it was hijacked in Pongola earlier.

RUSA recovered the truck on Friday after receiving information that the hijacked truck was located in Inanda.

“RUSA officers were provided with GPS Co-Ordinates which led them to an unnamed road in Inanda – KZN where the truck and trailers were abandoned,” said Pram Balram, RUSA spokesperson.

“The truck’s load of RB1 coal was found intact. It was established that the vehicle was hijacked in Pongola – KZN by two armed suspects,” he added.

The truck driver was dropped off near Westville before the recovery in Inanda.
